Blue Sky Authentication/Identity Starter Pack
I've curated a list of authentication and identity experts on Bluesky - here's why you should check it out.
Hiya folks,
One of the places I spend a lot of time online is Bluesky. It’s like 2015 Twitter. Some great knowledge shared and interesting discussions.
You are still limited to the short form posts of 300 characters or less, though there is support for threading.
What does this have to do with CIAM?
There's a neat feature called 'starter packs' where someone can curate a list of people around a topic, allowing new users to follow up to 150 people with one click.
I created one for authentication and identity people. They range from standards nerds to people scaling CIAM to tens of millions of accounts.
I’ll be adding to this over time, but if you know someone on Bluesky who should be in the list, reply and let me know.
Here's some of the knowledge I've gained by following these folks.
A new possible RFC about identity assertion between pieces of software built on top of existing standards
Another post about how SMS MFA is problematic
Just a heads up that I'm pretty prominent in that feed because I post so much. There's actually a way to view people you follow who are quiet posters, which is one of the benefits of Bluesky over Twitter. If my memes and chattiness are too much, please use that feed to filter me out.
You can sign up for Bluesky here.
You can view and follow everyone from my authentication/identity starter pack here.
Cheers,
Dan
